The diamond-encrusted Dream Angels Fantasy Bra is not worth anywhere near $1 million,says diamond expert Grant Mobley.

The recently concluded Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2018 left spectators stunned as the Angels walked down the ramp clad in glamorous lingerie and magnanimous wings. But what stood out was the $1 million diamond-encrusted Dream Angels Fantasy Bra created by Atelier Swarovski in collaboration with Victoria’s Secret.

Worn by 30-year-old supermodel Elsa Hosk, the Dream Angels Fantasy Bra caught the attention of diamond expert and gemologist Grant Mobley, who explained that the evaluation of the $1 million bra is nothing but fiction. “The overvaluation of the bra is very clear because of what we know about the price of synthetic diamonds. Currently selling for $800 USD per carat, the reported 71 carats included in the bra would only be worth $56,800 USD. When you add the price of the stones to the cost of workmanship and the price of the metal, the total value would still be far below six figures,”Only natural diamonds from the earth would put the value of the bra into the millions of dollars, as in past shows”
