Idia Aisien stuns in Ituen Basi for Lagos Fashion Week 2018

to put on their best outfits and show their style prowess. Many celebrities attended dressed to the nines but few stood out. One of those few was stunning TV presenter Idia Aisien. » The statuesque Idia sat front row at every single show and made sure she supported Nigerian designers with each of her looks. However, the one look that stood out from the rest was her unique Ituen Basi outfit.

Idia wore a black and white checkered two piece with the word ‘Garri’ emblazoned across the front in big red lettering. She paired the stylist co-ord with a statement purple and grren overcoat which she hung stylishly across her shoulders. Ituen Basi is a luxury Nigerian designer with an illustrious career in
the industry. It’s a label that celebrates individuality with a winning combination of contemporary designs and with a traditional Nigerian twist. In an interview with Vanguard, Ituen said, ”When describing my
designs, I normally use the word individualistic because my designs lends itself to the wearer and its fun.’ Well fun is definitely one word we would use to describe Idia’s look. The gorgeous media girl shows us that you can be super-stylish and

Kwasu masscom department holds its annual congress meeting

The Department of Mass Communication, Kwara State University, Malete held its annual congress yesterday at the auditorium of the College of Information and Communication Technology (I.C.T).
The event which was hosted by the Acting Head of Department, Dr. Isiaka Aliagan and other teaching staff in attendance such as Dr Semiu Bello, Mr Victor Babatunde, Mrs Agnes Joe-Shaibu, Mr Sulieman Yusuf, Mrs Habibat Na’allah and Mrs Perpetual Umeaku.
The event was said to address and orientate the students of the department both fresher’s and staylites on issues of missing grade and results, dress code, association activities that are planned to be carried out in the department.
On missing grade and results, Agnes addressed the issue and guided the students on steps to rectify such issue.
Victor Babatunde, a lecturer in the department sensitized the students on the need to be disciplined by portraying good behavior in learning and character.
In similar way, Dr Semiu Bello admonished the students to strictly adhere to the department dress code as this will make them outstanding among their peers, he furthered laid strong warning to defaulters as strict penalty is on ground for such individual.
The Department President, Comrd Daranijo Habeeb Opeyemi encouraged all the students to strictly adhere to the rules and regulations guiding the department and also obedience to the dress code policy.
He stated further that his administration is working hand in hand with the Department Heads for the general interest of students in the department and listed the plans is administration will do such as Press I.D card, Press Club and Media Tour and warns students to shun violence, cultism and indecent dressing.
Habibat Na’allah, also a lecturer in the department called for order against sexual harassment and students should report of any such cases to the department in charge.
